Unfortunately I have to announce that this is likely the end of this blog. I have been unable to log in to Second Life for the past two weeks, due to my account being on administrative hold. I have requested clarity on what happened, but did not get any answers, just more questions, whether I knew people or not. Today I received this email:
Dear Adanaya Lamplight,
This email is notification that Linden Lab has completed our investigation. As a result of our findings, we have terminated your access to the Second Life virtual world due to severe violations of the Second Life Terms of Service or Community Standards. Your account has been permanently disabled due to the unauthorized access of another resident's account.
Due to the nature of the recorded violations, additional alternate or household accounts also have been disabled. Per the Terms of Service, you may not return to Second Life on any account, new or existing.
As you can see my account will be permanently disabled. I have never accessed anybody's account. I don't know why they say I have done this. I will appeal to this, but what I have found on the web, is that even if I do get control of my account again, likely my inventory will be wiped. 7 years of history. Gone. Thousand and thousands of Lindens worth of items. Gone. Even if I do regain access to my account, if this is the case, it is likely I will not be returning to Second Life anymore.
So likely, this is the last thing you'll see in this blog. It's been a fun ride while it lasted, but in the end Linden Lab always wins. I will miss the friends I made over the course of years, I will miss the fun we had, but alas. No more.
Friends who read this, and want to send me a last message, please contact Manda Vuckovic. She can contact me in the Real World. Alternatively find me on Facebook. Goodbye friends.I will miss you.
